This was mainly a library update release. GDCM, the DICOM library, was updated from version 1.3.2 to 2.0.10, which will hopefully improve the DICOM read support for MIView. The main compiler was migrated from Visual C++ 2005 to Visual C++ 2008, mainly for ease of development. The back-end wxWidgets library was also updated to version 2.8.9.

The following changes have been made:

  • [change] Updated GDCM to version 2.0.10 which improves support for certain DICOM files
  • [change] MIView is now built with VC++ 2008
  • [change] wxWidgets library updated to 2.8.9 from 2.8.7

  • [add] Screenshot saving. Can now take a screenshot and save it as a jpeg, png, or bmp file.
  • [add] Color mapping beyond two colors
  • [fix] Color map is displayed in the color bar
  • [fix] Correctly displays ALL signed images, including odd bit storage such 9 bit or 14 bit images.
  • [fix] Slice scrollbar correctly scrolls when changing the current viewing plane

  • [fix] Filename of the currently displayed image is displayed above the viewing area
